Committed to restoring this art-historic site which had been in disrepair since the 1980's, the Binghams formed a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in early 1999 and called it the Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts, which will fund this important project. The Thunderbird Foundation will provide scholarships, artist-in-residence programs and preserve the home and studio where Dixon's memorial and ashes remain.
